my very first visit today at Wexham Park Hospital. I was very impressed with the service I received in plastic surgery. the staff were wonderful and very professional, I couldn’t have asked for more. even the man driving the buggy was so helpful and very joyful.. Thank you Wtexham Park Hospital for making my visit stressful free.

In blue zone with my very sick and there is a young man in the cubicle opposite and he is playing loud music with lots of swear words in it and none of the staff will ask him to turn it off

Although the ward was always very busy, the care, kindness and treatment I received when an inpatient on Ward 4 was excellent.
I would especially like to thank Dr X for her exceptional care.

I simply can’t fault this hospital. My father was triaged quickly, streamed into urgent care and assessed professionally by a fantastic team.

Waited 7 hours before being seen for post concussion syndrome. Waited nearly two hours for CT, apparently forgot I was waiting and Dr reminded staff I needed CT. Can’t do anything for persistent headache and gave me morphine while there and one hour later I was sent home with cocodamol. The Dr was amazing, very thorough and kind. The queues were long as there wasn’t enough staff. my low rating is not for the Drs and Nurses who get fives stars. The low rating is for the hospital management

Collected by ambulance from my home about 2 hours after dialling 111. I felt the paramedics knew their business. The fact that they had a sense of humour was much apprecaited. Processing by A & E was prompt and X-rays carried out early next day. This revealed nil fractures on hip, so Dr called for a CT scan which happened that day (Day2). The results were explained on morning of Day3 and it was agreed I could be discharged that day. The ambulance staff who took me home were just as professional in their approach as their colleagues who originally took me to Wexham. Friendly and considerate is a fair summary of their attitude. And these attributes were similarily apparent amongst all the staff I came into contact with, whether in A & E, AAU or the Discharge Dept. I am filled with gratitude to all the staff at Wexham Park. They all deserve my thanks.

Although my foot was run over by a paramedic in a wheelchair on the night staff, it was a blessing in disguise!, I was really impressed with all the staff on how they handled the situation. I wanted to give a special mention to the morning staff who went out of their way to help me as much as possible. I was treated fairly and with respect. Just love the staff at wexham park hospital, because they actually care!

Normally we are using different hospital but this blood test was booked by our GP. We went for a blood test with my 6 years daughter. In other hospitals we always get anesthetic cream then we wait for 45min as well the child was in position where they couldn’t see the needle. As well the nurse tried to make the child busy even showing the cartoons on tablet. Unfortunately at wexham park hospital this looks completely opposite. We arrived and we were taken for the blood test straight away only using cooling spray which is not the same as the anesthetic cream. Not sure if they were in rush or they don’t have any more empathy or they tried to save money. My girl when saw the needle close to her skin get panic and start screaming and then I have heard from the nurse saying to my little one then they will do it anyway even she will scream. At this point a did say to the nurse then she went to far. Second nurse after few minutes said to me (I was trying to come down my daughter at this time) she said to me then they only have 15 min and our blood test have to be rescheduled. At this point I stan up and we left.

That was the worst experience with the NHS service.

Till now we was always happy with the service we were provided (in other hospitals) and not sure if those two ladies forget about empathy and ware are they working(children department) or they just choose the wrong job.

Had to go to A and E after GP hours with an acute issue. I felt I was taken seriously and had speedy investigations leading to treatment.
It was a long wait to see a doctor-12 hours- but did not have to wait to see one before treatment.Good follow up. I think the staff do a good job in difficult circumstances and I am grateful they are there doing a professional job.

Went into this hospital feeling extremely ill and in pain. Waited 9 hours and was totally ignored and discharged without resolving my problems. Doctors were really arrogant and offhand.

Russian Roulette. I’ve been appalled many times but their ITU dept has saved my life twice. Are they still in Special Measures? Usually appear to be.

Healthwatch Bucks responded:

The hospital exited Special Measures in October 2014 when it was taken over by Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust.

Discharge nurse did not make referral for Community OT to visit patient’s regarding
appropriate installation of grab rails. Now on waiting list and unable to safely negotiate thresholds.

Long delay waiting for TTA’s

Problems getting a porter and wheelchair to take patient out to car park which was some distance away from hospital ward

Car park machine only taking old £1 coins and long queue having formed owing to this

Sent by gp to a and e with severe and I pain and CRP 332 registrar sent me home advising see go in 2 days. Fortunately I went next day sent back to a and e with letter from gp still waited 2.5 hrs admitted in sepsis and perforated bowel. Surgeon Mr. Soin brilliant could not fault him sadly Ward 5 terrible especially agency staff who did not care at all. Thankfully.i had adult children who were my advocates. I dread to think what happens to people who dont have this.

I received excellent clinical treatment at the Endoscopy Department in Ward 4 and benefited from a fast track colonoscopy following indications of possible bowel cancer. I was given good preparation and a clear briefing on the procedure which was uncomfortable but carried out on schedule and with care and sensitivity. I was given a report on the generally encouraging findings soon after the procedure and before I left the hospital. It’s a pity that the administration was somewhat less efficient since the hospital insisted for some time on using an address which I had not occupied for 40 years and sending the copy report to the wrong GP practice. Simple transcription of the information on my Admission Form could have avoided the problem.

Dad was admitted to ward 4 with late stage heart failure. He passed away on ward 4 on 1st march. He was there for 2 weeks. In those two weeks the nurses and healthcare assistants were marvellous, attending to him, helping him, having the time to talk to the family etc. The palliative care nurses were also amazing.

I came in as an emergency and was given fantastic, sympathetic care touching three different parts of the hospital (A&E, maternity & gynecology). Nothing to fault, every single person who I came into contact with was professional, caring and great at what they did.

I was outraged when an elderly patient with severe burns was sent home the same night of the accident, within a matter of hours of going into the hospital. My son, who suffers from mental illness, was on the verge of being sectioned, however they released him from the hospital, without informing any of his family members so that he was left to wander the streets alone.

I was taken to the a&e department by ambulance, the paramedics, nurses particularly Gemma and Doctor Ralph, were so welcoming, kind, reassuring and friendly. It was very busy but they all made it seem like they had all the time in the world for me. The hospital was very clean.
