My Homecare Slough and South Bucks has received a rating of ‘good’ following an inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Inspectors looked at the service in July 2023. My Homecare Slough and South Bucks provides care and support to people living in their own homes, with some people receiving 24-hour or live-in care.

At the time of the inspection, 51 people were using the service. Some of them had physical or sensory impairments, and some were older people.

The CQC only inspects where people receive personal care from a service like this. Personal care includes help with tasks related to personal hygiene, eating and drinking.

What inspectors assessed

At this focused inspection, the CQC looked at three of its five key questions.

These were:

  • Is the service safe?
  • Is it responsive?
  • Is it well led?

What inspectors found

My Homecare Slough and South Bucks received a rating of ‘requires improvement’ for safety, but was rated ‘good’ against the key questions relating to responsiveness and leadership.

It therefore received an overall rating of ‘good’.
