QCQ findings

Inspectors found that staff at Portobello Place focused on providing person-centred care and support, and achieved ‘exceptional results’.

The care home was assessed against the five key questions used by the CQC to determine whether a service is working well.

These ask if the service is:

  • Safe
  • Effective
  • Caring
  • Responsive
  • Well led.

Portobello Place was rated ‘good’ in response to all questions except responsive, where it was rated ‘outstanding’. It therefore received an overall rating of ‘good’.
