Walfinch Mid & South Buckinghamshire, a domiciliary care provider that offers support to people in their own homes, has been rated ‘good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

At the time of the inspection in January 2023, the service provided care to 31 people in High Wycombe and the surrounding areas. Some of these individuals were receiving personal care from Walfinch. This can include help with eating, drinking and hygiene.

The CQC only inspects on behalf of people receiving personal care, but it also considers any additional care and support they might receive.

‘Good’ across the board

The CQC assesses providers of social care in line with five key questions.

These allow it to assess whether a service is

  • Safe
  • Effective
  • Caring
  • Responsive
  • Well led.

Walfinch Mid & South Buckinghamshire was rated ‘good’ in all areas and so achieved an overall rating of ‘good’ following its inspection.
