South Bucks Hospice has been rated ‘good’ overall following an inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The provider is a day hospice that supports adult patients in South Buckinghamshire who are living with life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses. The hospice provides palliative care on an outpatient basis. It also supports the families and carers of patients after they have lost loved ones.

At the time of this inspection – the first performed by CQC – South Bucks Hospice supported around 550 people a year, roughly 65% of whom had a cancer diagnosis.

The service received ‘good’ ratings against all key inspection criteria: safe, effective, caring, responsive to people’s needs and well led. It was rated ‘good’ overall.
