Sir Aubrey Ward House has been rated ‘requires improvement’ following an inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Provided and run by The Fremantle Trust, Sir Aubrey Ward House provides accommodation and care for people aged over 65. It specialises in dementia care.

August’s focused inspection followed an unannounced inspection that took place in October and November 2021. At last year’s inspection breaches of legal requirements were found. The service was rated ‘inadequate’ and Sir Aubrey Ward House was placed in special measures.

Following the report released by CQC on 25 August, the service is no longer rated inadequate overall or in any area inspected, and is no longer in special measures.
