We hosted this event to give Bucks PPGs a chance to talk to each other and to hear from the CCG.

On 28th January 2022 we held an online PPG networking event on behalf of the Bucks Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).

It was great to have some many PPG and practices represented at the event.

You can listen to the CCG’s presentation about changes to the Health and Social Care system and the following Q&A session by clicking on the recording below.

The event also gave PPGs an opportunity to discuss key issues. We suggested two questions for discussion. These were:

  • how is your PPG working at the moment? What are the current challenges and opportunities?
  • what sort of help or support does your PPG need?

You can read about the key themes that emerged from the discussion in our summary report of the event below.

Looking through the report and historical documents I could not find a clear definition of the objectives of PPG groups . I would have expected to see some information about outcomes measured against objectives if the efficacy of the working relationships of the stakeholders is to be validated as to the value they bring to CCG and practices and their patients.

Each surgery/patient participation group may set their own aims and objectives. They may also decide how progress against the aims and objectives are evaluated (if at all).
