Healthwatch Bucks is lucky to have a great group of volunteers who have helped us to deliver many projects. Now we want to find out how we can broaden and strengthen our volunteering programme going forwards.
To do this, we need someone with knowledge of community engagement and project management experience. Also, experience of working with volunteers and diverse communities in Buckinghamshire.
We would like to achieve the following from this project:
- mapping communities in Bucks and identifying specific routes for engagement. (for example, community boards and grassroots organisations already working with the communities we would like to engage with)
- making links with people from under-represented communities to increase our volunteer representation. (This would include people from minority ethnic communities, younger people, those not in education or employment and people living in areas of deprivation)
- scoping out new connections and following up links to explore and develop possible partnerships
- identifying the possible barriers in relation to volunteering and ways these could be overcome.
The final deliverable should be a report with recommendations for building a diverse and sustainable volunteering programme for the organisation. Please check the document linked below for further information.
This is a responsive project that needs to account for possible COVID-19 restrictions. Therefore, we would like your proposal to reflect current and realistic possibilities.
