In October we published a report called ‘information about services on dentist and GP websites during the coronavirus outbreak’. We wanted to find out what dentist and GP websites said about how they were working during this time. We used a mystery shopper approach.
Some of the recommendations for dentists were:
- Make more use of their websites to provide clear information to patients.
Some of the recommendations for GPs were:
- Provide key information on the homepage (or in one place clearly labelled from the homepage) under a heading such as “How we’re working at this time”
- Include links to advice or include generic information provided by others (rather than producing their own text) to reduce the need to keep updating.
