We’re arranging a free webinar for anyone waiting for an operation (planned or elective surgery) in Bucks. The event takes place on Thursday 12th November 2020 from 5 – 6pm.
About this event
You’ll hear from specialists and then there will be a question and answer (Q&A) session.
The specialists will be:

- Charlotte Moss – Chartered Physiotherapist and Service Manager Department of Physiotherapy
- Neal Evans Consultant Anaesthetist and Lead for Pain Management
- Lesly Clifford – Associate Director of Communications
You can email questions for the specialists to us at any time before the event. Our email address is email@example.com. We’ll share questions submitted in advance with the speakers.
You will also have the chance to ask questions electronically during the event.
We’ll be recording this event and putting it on our website so the event can be shared more widely. We will also publish a summary of the Q&A session and a report about the event.
Who is this event for?
This event is for patients who need surgery during this COVID-19 pandemic and their relatives.
You will find out how the hospitals in Bucks are managing their waiting lists and how they are keeping patients safe during surgery.
What will you learn?
The session is being presented by a team which includes Ophthalmology (eyes) and Orthopaedic (joints and bones) surgeons, physiotherapists and other key members of the surgical team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust.
Who is running this event?
This event is being hosted by Healthwatch Bucks. It will be chaired by our Chief Executive, Zoe McIntosh.
What sort of event will this be?
This will be a Zoom webinar event. You will be able to see and hear the speakers and be able to ask questions through the chat function. But the speakers and other participants will not be able to see or hear you. You can choose to remain anonymous when asking a question by changing your name when you join the event.
How do I submit questions?

What happens if you can’t answer my question?
We will post answers to any questions that can’t be answered on our website.
What if I miss the session due to illness or otherwise?
Everyone who registers via Eventbrite will be sent information on how to access the recording of the event and our report.
What if I don’t have access to the internet?
If you’d like to join the event but don’t have access to the internet please contact us using the details before and we’ll send you information about how you can join in on the phone.
