In November 2017, we published a report that looked at the experiences of people with hearing loss when they went to GP surgeries or hearing aid maintenance.

We recommended, among other things, that organisations:

  • organise deaf awareness training
  • use more screens to display information
  • use systems to book BSL interpreters

We’re pleased to see how much work has been done towards improving services for people with hearing loss. We hope that these changes have made a real difference for people living with hearing loss.  We know there are also plans which should help even more.
