Why we are signing
The Time to Change Employer Pledge aims to reduce stigma around mental health in the workplace. It encourages employers to
think carefully about what support is already in place, and how it can be improved. We’re so proud to say that we’ll be joining the list of other local organisations who have signed the Time to Change Employer Pledge.
It is reported that 1 in 6 workers are dealing with anxiety, depression or stress, so it’s important that people feel supported in the work place. This support not only helps alleviate stress, but also helps create a safe space in the workplace where people can feel comfortable talking about their mental health. Signing the pledge makes this support official, and ensures that every staff member knows that it is available.

When is the signing?
We’ll be signing the Employer Pledge at our next Public Board Meeting on the 27th of February. Emma, our qualified Mental Health First Aider will also be giving a short talk on mental health first aid, so people know what to do when sensitive conversations arise.
