The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) needs your views! Let them know what you think of their new training proposal.
The GPhC manages pharmacists and pharmacies in Great Britain. They decide on the training of pharmacists. They make sure new professionals have the necessary knowledge and skills to care for service users.
Pharmacists do a lot in delivering care and helping people stay well. The jobs that they do are changing to keep up with changes in healthcare and pharmacy practice.
The GPhC wants to hear from patients, carers, users of pharmacy services and the public on its proposed changes to the education and training standards for pharmacists.
They want to make sure that the pharmacists of the future are prepared for future practice. These changes include students spending more time with patients from an earlier stage in their education and training.
You can take part in the consultation survey now (closes 3 April 2019).
You can find out more on the GPhC website, by following @TheGPhC on Twitter or liking their Facebook page.
