Short breaks are for people who are normally cared for in their own home by a family member or friend who is not paid for their caring tasks.

Bucks CC have set out their proposals in the draft strategy. At this point, Bucks CC are not asking about specific ways of delivering short breaks services – that will be part of a second stage of engagement and consultation later this year.

This consultation is open for responses from Friday 29 June until Friday 10 August 2018.

Is your proposal going to deliver safe home care for the elderly impaired while the carer has the short break? This would be a godsend for people who struggle to cope for a loved one who needs 24hr care.
