In April 2017 Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust began to introduce ways to provide care to the community. In January and February 2018, the Trust ran a series of six public events for people across the county to have their say about the plans to bring care closer to home.
At the meetings the Trust shared progress on the pilot community hubs in Thame and Marlow, and heard the public’s views on plans for rolling out care closer to home in other parts of the county. Healthwatch Bucks attended all six events to help us understand patient views and to look at the approach used.
In our feedback report ‘Bringing Care Closer to Home Events, January – February 2018’, you can read what happened at these public meetings, what worked well and what could be improved. We’ve already shared what we have learned about community hubs with those responsible for the changes.
You can read our report below.
