NHS Aylesbury Vale CCG & NHS Chiltern CCG have set up a Diabetes Reference Group to help shape and deliver diabetes services across Bucks. The CCGs are now looking to recruit volunteer patient voice representatives to join the Group to provide practical insight and strategic thinking.

The purpose of the role is to:

  • Assist with the delivery of the Diabetes Service Transformation Program and other recognised diabetes strategies.
  • Contribute an informed user perspective to identifying priorities and developing services.
  • Work with others to gather views of people with diabetes and their carers more broadly, by helping to develop strategies for gathering user views.
  • Ensure that all local plans take account of the needs of people with diabetes and the population in preventing diabetes.
