Our 1000 voices report

Why we did it

We  are dedicated to listening to you, Bucks residents’ and your experiences of health and social care services. Comments, other wise known as ‘Voices’, provide us with a picture of patient experience and we then communicate these to the people and organisations with the power to make change happen.

Voices further influence numerous projects run by us such as our community transport pilot scheme, our GP patient experience project and our study around the experience of birthing partners.

What we did

We pulled all our findings together into our 1000 voices report. This analyses, overall, what you have told us about your services. We’ve also released a second Healthwatch Bucks film that you can watch below, which celebrates the impact we’ve had over the last year.

What we found

Appointments Infographic


21% of all the feedback we collected was about appointments. The majority of this feedback is negative. However, for many people, it’s not appointment availability that they are unhappy with. A significant number of complaints about appointments relate to the booking process. This might be due to a frustrating telephone system.


Quality of Treatment Infographic

Quality of Treatment is the second most popular area of feedback. We have received almost as many comments praising quality of treatment (245) as we have negative comments about appointments (264).



Staff Attitudes Infographic


Staff Attitudes  shows a more even split between positive and negative comments. The majority of comments are praise but some people encounter unhelpful staff or uninterested clinicians. Feedback in this area varies noticeably depending on the service type involved.
