To celebrate Volunteer Week, we arranged for a volunteer social at the La Crepe Escape in Princes Risborough.

This was one of the opportunities we arrange for our volunteers to meet up with staff and each other so that we can all get to know each other better. All of our volunteers spend most of their volunteering time with us out of the office and only occasionally visit us here in Monks Risborough for meetings or training. These volunteers might be visiting care homes, acting as our representatives in external meetings, working as non-executive directors or helping us on stalls at events. Without these get-togethers many might not get to meet each other because of their different roles. So, these events are really important to bring everyone together as a team. Often, good ideas result over a coffee, or one person might offer help another because they are face to face. It’s also an informal way of finding out what’s going on in the organisation.

Once again we would like to thank all our volunteers for the time you spend working with us on behalf of Healthwatch Bucks. We couldn’t do it without you.

If you’d like to find out how you could join our team, please don’t hesitate to contact us on

P.S. Thanks also goes to Alex Holloway for taking the photo as he was shadowing his mum at work that day.
