Each year Bucks County Council (BCC) is required to produce a “Local Account” which keeps residents informed about key priorities within Adult Social Care & Public Health and how council services help improve the lives of vulnerable adults in Buckinghamshire. The BCC Local Account is produced with the involvement of service users, carers and voluntary sector partners, including Healthwatch Bucks. It’s one of the many groups that we participate in.

[The participation of Healthwatch Bucks] in the Local Account is part of our focus on collecting and acting upon the experiences of the public, particularly in the area of our organisational priorities of people using mental health services, children and young people, older people and seldom heard groups.

This year, as well as providing information on key performance areas of adult social care, Bucks CC have also focused on life stories and experiences from people who use their services, or who work with the council as volunteers or members of partner organisations.

The Local Account also includes a list of key contacts, which can be used as a useful resource for anyone wanting to know more about the services provided by Adult Social Care.

The Local Account is available on the Buckinghamshire County Council website:
